192 Lives for Truth; Zionism’s Crimes Continue Against the Voice of Freedom
Seyed Hamed Amini/ Journalism is not just a profession, but a sacred mission that demands life and heart. In a world where power and politics rely on oppression and violence, journalists have a serious duty: to tell the truths that others want to remain hidden. But this mission sometimes comes at a heavy price. Since October 2023, Gaza has witnessed the martyrdom of 192 journalists. These people were not only carriers of the message, but also became part of history themselves.
The last name on this blacklist is Masira Saleh, a brave Quds News journalist who was martyred in the midst of the brutal bombings of the Zionist regime against Gaza. She was shot and bombed while trying to bring the voices of the oppressed people to the world. Her martyrdom is just one of the endless examples of crimes against journalists in this besieged strip.

Journalism: A Journey Between Truth and Death
Journalism in war zones is more than a job, it is a mission. These people are the world’s consciences, searching for truth through fire, blood and destruction. They are the imagers and narrators of stories that the powerful want to remain silent. Journalists choose duty over life.
In Gaza, journalism is fraught with constant danger. Every step a journalist takes on the devastated streets, every image they capture and every word they write could be their last step or their last word. But nevertheless, journalists continue because they believe that truth is more powerful than any bomb.

The Zionist Regime; The Enemy of Freedom and Truth
The Zionist Regime is not only an occupying force, but also a sworn enemy of truth and freedom of expression. Relying on widespread propaganda and distortion of reality to justify its crimes, the regime sees journalists as a serious threat. The cameras and pens of journalists are more powerful tools than the regime’s war machine, because they expose crimes against humanity and confront the world with realities that official lies cannot hide.
By targeting journalists, the Zionist regime is trying to suppress alternative narratives. They know that every image of a child trapped under rubble, every report of a mother who lost her child, and every story of the resistance of Palestinian youth can mobilize public opinion against them. It is the fear of the truth that has driven them to hostility towards journalists.

The Mission of Journalists; Voices of the Oppressed People
Journalists in Gaza not only document events, but are themselves part of the resistance. With their cameras, they tell the stories of people who stand before the whole world. Their images of wounded children, destroyed hospitals, and blood-soaked streets awaken the conscience of the world.
Masira Saleh and the 191 other journalists who were martyred in this war were lights that lit up in total darkness. They showed that the truth cannot be buried under the rubble of bombing. They sent the message to the world with their lives that the voices of oppressed people cannot be silenced.

The war against truth
The Zionist regime tries to silence the voices of journalists with every bomb and bullet, but it does not know that every journalist who dies awakens thousands of others. Every image that is saved from the dust and blood moves thousands of consciences.
This war is not only against the people of Gaza, it is a war against truth. The Zionist regime knows that its lies cannot last without the support of world powers. For this reason, it targets journalists, because they mark the line between darkness and light.

Journalists; Voices of Resistance
Gaza journalists continue to work despite all the dangers. They know that every image, every report, and every story can make a difference. They are the voices of resistance; a resistance that stands against the endless crimes of the Zionist regime.
Masira Saleh, with her martyrdom, became a symbol of this resistance. She showed that even in the midst of fire and blood, the voice of truth can make its way. She reminded us that we must never remain silent in the face of oppression.

An Endless Mission
Today, Gaza continues to burn and its journalists continue to fight. With pens and cameras, they stand against bullets and bombs. The blood of Masira Saleh and other journalist martyrs has brightened the path to freedom and justice.
This is a war against the truth, but the truth never dies. Journalists are bright lights that show the path to the future. May the bright souls of the martyred journalists be blessed and may those who continue to stand on the front lines of truth be blessed.
