Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Mr. Faizan added in a note on this matter sent to AVA News Agency: The statements of Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, regarding the praise of Kazemi Qomi's efforts indicate appreciation of his role in strengthening relations. The Foreign Minister’s emphasis on readiness to cooperate with the new Iranian ambassador also reflects Afghanistan’s commitment to strengthening relations with its neighbors and striving for regional cooperation. These diplomatic interactions can play an important role in strengthening economic, cultural, and security relations between the two countries.
Stating that Afghanistan and Iran, as two neighboring countries with a long common border, have always enjoyed deep and historical relations based on cultural, civilizational, economic, and religious commonalities, he emphasized: These relations, which have their roots in the distant past, are a clear example of the bond between nations that a common culture and civilization have brought closer together.
According to this diplomat of the Islamic Emirate, despite these deep commonalities, sometimes differences and challenges have arisen in the relations between the two countries. However, high-ranking officials of both countries, including the Afghan Foreign Minister, have always emphasized the peaceful resolution of these challenges and the strengthening of constructive interactions. In particular, numerous diplomatic trips and official meetings between officials of the two countries have been an important step towards developing relations and removing obstacles.
He added: The visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was one of his first foreign trips, was of particular importance in this regard. As a result of these interactions, significant progress has been achieved in various areas such as political issues, refugee affairs, water and borders, trade and economy, security, combating drug trafficking and ISIS threats, and cultural cooperation.
Mr. Faizan concluded by expressing his hope that with the presence of the "new Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul", relations between Afghanistan and Iran will be further strengthened and the two brotherly nations will be able to take steps towards further progress and cooperation under the shadow of positive interactions.
