Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Washington Post newspaper wrote on Thursday morning, citing informed sources, that the Zionist regime’s cabinet is seeking to use the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon to revive negotiations with Hamas.

These sources, who were not named, told the Washington Post: “Israeli officials are considering a short-term agreement to release some hostages in the hope of expanding it.”

The newspaper also reported, quoting Zionist officials: “The idea is to tell Hamas that it is now alone and must accept the agreement.”

The Washington Post further wrote, quoting the Zionist regime’s homeland security advisor: “Our army may intensify its operations in Gaza after being freed from the conflict in the north.

The Zionist official claimed in an interview with the newspaper: “Our forces are capable of dealing with Hamas more severely than they are today.”

The Washington Post also reported, quoting the US State Department: “We have made it clear to Israel that it must comply with international law, and that includes protecting civilians.
