Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Afghan Red Crescent Society today (Monday) in a meeting that was held in the presence of Maulavi Shahabuddin Delawar, the head of this organization and with the participation of the doctors of the German Peace Village Aid Foundation in Kabul, from the transfer of 89 Tons of children with severe burns and microbial bone diseases reported to Germany.
In this meeting, Maulavi Shahabuddin Delawar, the general head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, stated that the situation in Afghanistan is moving towards growth and development and said: After years of aggression and occupation by infidels, now God has provided an opportunity for the country.
Stating that during the past 45 years, more than a dozen children and innocent people lost their lives due to wars or landmines, he said: "Even now, landmines left over from the Soviet occupation still cause casualties.
Referring to the activities of the German Peace Village Aid Foundation, the head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society said: This institution has treated 4,920 patients since 1988 by signing a memorandum of understanding.
He asked this institution to try to increase the number of its patients and to provide more field of treatment inside the country.
Mr. Delaware also said that currently 74 Afghan children are being treated in Germany, of which 46 have been treated and will return to the country in the next three days.
At the same time, the officials of the German Peace Village Aid Foundation assured the people of Afghanistan of the further cooperation of this institution.
On the other hand, Nur Ali Hosni, the father of 11-year-old Masouda, who is a resident of Samangan Province, while expressing his gratitude to the Afghan Red Crescent Society and Germany, said: "My daughter was burned eight years ago and has not been fully treated in the country."
According to him, his child is going to be sent to Germany for treatment along with other sick children.
