Possible meeting of Iran, Russia, Türkiye and Syria for Ankara-Damascus talks
Sergey Lavrov says that Russia, Iran, Turkey and Syria may meet in the near future for Ankara-Damascus talks.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that a meeting will be held in the form of Russia, Iran, Turkey and Syria to normalize relations between Ankara and Damascus in the foreseeable future.
 
According to Tasnim, he recalled that the parties managed to hold a meeting in 2023 with the participation of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and intelligence services to discuss the conditions that can lead to the normalization of relations between Syria and Turkey.
 
The Russian Foreign Minister added: The previous meeting between Russia, Iran, Turkey and Syria was useful, but the parties could not agree on the next steps.
 
Lavrov also expressed hope that there will be a dialogue between Damascus and the Syrian Kurds.
