Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement that Afghanistan is not waiting for recognition from the United States.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce sent a press release to AVNA about the details of the opening of the "Tormoz International Trade Center" in Uzbekistan with the presence of the acting head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
 
The acting minister of industry and trade announced the signing of contracts with the countries that will be present at the center and reminded that "the international trade market will be a good platform for sampling, contracting and investment for Afghanistan.
 
According to the statement, the acting minister of industry and commerce, while pointing to the use of the capacities of the international trade center, added: "We will do large contracts at the regional level in this center.
 
He also pointed to the facilities available at the center, saying; The center features sufficient electricity, very active transportation, railway and packaging at a standard level and even a training platform.
 
He also announced the agreement of representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to allocate a special place to each country and all its products, adding; Each country will bring their hats to this center and export and import them.
 
Mr. Azizi said that Uzbekistan is cooperating in modernizing and standardizing the packaging of Afghan commercial goods in this commercial center and said: Due to the short distance to the airport of this center, we can meet the standards that countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have. They want us to export our goods.
 
He also said that some Afghans will be provided with jobs at the center.
 
The acting minister of industry and commerce also informed about the alternative new markets for the Afghan market and said: "Our goal of new routes to Afghan goods is not to contradict our previous trading partners, but we even ask Pakistan to be present and work in this center. .
 
He said the ministry's goal is to get Afghan goods to Central Asia and Russia, adding; We are looking for markets where people in that country can afford to buy.
 
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce official pointed to the maintenance of traditional trade with Pakistan and India and said; But that method is unfortunately not very profitable for our producers.
 
He also announced the construction of a standard hospital with international standards in the commercial center, adding; After that, all Afghan patients can benefit from the high health services of this hospital.
 
The acting minister of industry and commerce considered regional and international trade transactions necessary for Afghanistan and stressed not to pay attention to sanctions on Afghanistan.
 
"We will not sit back and wait for the US to recognize us or not," he said. "The Afghan Ministry of Commerce is trying to pave many paths for the improvement of people's livelihoods," he said.
 
He said the purpose of these efforts and interactions with the world is that we will not wait for the recognition of the United States and other countries, but will provide growing paths to create livelihood facilities for the people.
 
The Tormoz International Trade Center was inaugurated two days ago in the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
