Resistance: Obstructing the Zionist regime; Ceasefire talks fail
A source close to the Palestinian resistance says the Doha talks on a ceasefire agreement have failed due to Israeli obstacles and are on the verge of collapse.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – International Service: While negotiations on the Gaza Strip ceasefire resumed in Doha on Wednesday, in the shadow of continuous breaches of work by the Zionists and the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself, a A Palestinian resistance source said the Doha talks on a ceasefire and prisoner exchange had failed and that the talks were on the verge of collapse due to the Israeli side's obstruction and refusal to respond to mediators' proposals to resolve the remaining issues. has.

The source said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen that the Doha meetings failed to dissuade the Zionist side from insisting on staying in the Philadelphia Axis (Salah al-Din) and overturned the occupying regime's veto on the release of 65 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment.

The source added that the negotiations seem to be on the verge of collapse due to the occupying regime's avoidance of responding to the mediators' proposals to resolve the remaining issues.

"Hamas's position is that the current negotiations will not lead to an agreement, and the mediators are also very disappointed with Israel's incompatible positions and consider these positions of the occupying regime as the only obstacle to the negotiations," the source said.

The source also quoted the mediators as saying that the US government, while aware that Israel's positions on the remaining issues are unjustified, is not putting enough pressure on the regime.

The talks were held in Cairo last week with the participation of the American, Zionist, Egyptian and Qatari sides, which, like previous talks, revolved around the void and obstacles created by the occupying regime and Netanyahu himself prevented it from reaching a conclusion.

Sources familiar with the matter reported that the Israeli regime's demands on the future of the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphia and Netsarim axes in the Gaza Strip make it difficult to reach an agreement. The Israeli regime says it is not ready to withdraw from the Philadelphia axis and will only agree to move away from the Rafah crossing and redeploy its forces in areas away from the busy Gaza Strip.

Israel has also called for the establishment of mechanisms to administer certain areas, including checkpoints in the al-Rashid area in the west and Salahuddin in the east, and for the establishment of military towers for the presence of Israeli forces there.

In addition to setting conditions, including the inspection of refugees who are to return to their areas in the Gaza Strip, the occupying regime denies any full role of the United Nations in managing humanitarian affairs in the Gaza Strip and emphasizes that the participation of civilian or military teams affiliated with the Gaza Strip The Palestinian Authority's management of the Gaza Strip is also dependent on its commitments and guarantees from the Arab and international parties.

These interpretations show that the new round of negotiations, like the previous ones, is basically a project in line with the interests and demands of the Zionist regime, and the US and Israel intend, if an agreement is to be reached, to be unilateral and within the framework of their demands. . It is therefore clear that the Palestinian people and resistance, who know the history of the deceptions of the United States and the Zionist enemy, will never fall into this trap.
