Emphasizing that the expansion of relations based on common interests is beneficial to both countries, Iran and Turkmenistan, he added: We hope that with the presence of the new government of Mr. Dr. Mezikian, the matters related to the expansion of relations between the two countries will continue with more intensity and strength.
Referring to the high motivation of the President of Iran to expand relations with Turkmenistan, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution noted: Mrs. Sadegh, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, as the head of the joint commission, will follow the agreements of the two countries to achieve the desired results.
Hazrat Imam Khamenei (Mad Zaleh) also pointed to the words of the national leader of Turkmenistan about the joint projects between the two countries, including the South-North highway project and the Turkmenistan gas pipeline development project, and evaluated these projects as important and said: the implementation of these big projects with The presence of Iranian experts and specialists will bring the close relations between the two countries even closer.

In the continuation of this meeting, Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Iranian Affairs, in his speech, referring to the very good relations and common positions of Iran and Turkmenistan regarding regional and international issues, mentioned the border between these two countries as one of the safest border points of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the need to use it. He emphasized the capacity of borders for the benefit of two countries and two nations.
Araghchi also emphasized the need for joint cooperation between these two countries in helping Afghanistan overcome its challenges and problems.
