He stated that during the past year, 266 water supply projects with a total value of 1 billion Afghanis have been implemented by this ministry in 251 villages, 149 districts and 34 provinces, adding that with the implementation of these projects, 1 million 525 thousand 400 Citizens of the country have access to safe drinking water.
 
The head of the Ministry of Rural Development also announced the construction of a 50-kilometer road in Wakhan district of Badakhshan province, which connects Afghanistan with China, and said: So far, all the budget of this ministry has been financed from the country's national capital.
 
He also informed about the work flow of 149 other water supply projects in the country and added; With its completion, 700,000 citizens in the country will have access to safe drinking water.
Mr. Akhundzadeh, in response to the question of reporter Ava Retaje about how to implement projects in the country, knowing the principle of balanced division in the country, said; But those provinces that are in dire need are given priority over other provinces.
 
He also announced the construction of the water supply network of New Castle with a total value of 335 million Afghanis and added; 85% of this project has been completed so far, and after its completion, 65,000 residents of this province will have direct access to safe drinking water.
 
The leadership of the Ministry of Rural Development announced the construction of a 5-kilometer retaining wall in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province, with a total value of 75 million Afghanis, and said: With the implementation of this project, hundreds of thousands of hectares of agricultural land will be protected from monsoon floods. .
 
Meanwhile, Maulvi Mirza Mohammad Shakib, the head of the office of this ministry, has completed and put into operation 100 check dams and small water dams in the provinces of Badghis, Baghlan, Balkh, Parwan, Paktia, Zabul, Sarpol, Farah, Kapisa, Kunduz, Nuristan, Nimroz. And Herat informed and said: these projects have been built with a total value of 426 million afghanis.
 
The officials of this ministry also informed about the work progress of 388 kilometers of roads in different provinces of the country and added: In the last one year, hundreds of kilometers of rural roads have been built in 51 districts of 23 provinces of the country.
 
They also announced the construction of a water dam in Qads district of Badghis province, with a total value of 2.5 million dollars and said; With the implementation of this project, 1,400 hectares of agricultural land will be irrigated and drinking water will be provided to the residents there.
 
It should be mentioned that the officials of the Ministry of Rural Development and Rehabilitation have informed about the non-cooperation of the World Bank regarding the completion of half-finished projects of the previous government and they say: we have not yet reached an agreement with them.
 
They also added that they hope to reach an agreement and understanding with the World Bank in the future to attract dismemberment aid.
