Russia's reaction to Trump's failed assassination; US should invest in Ukraine's internal security instead

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that US financial aid to Ukraine is being used to incite attacks against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

 

"Perhaps it would be better to use the money to fund the US police and other services that are supposed to ensure law and order in the United States," he added.

 

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow expressed its condolences to the families of those killed in the attack on Trump and wished the victims a speedy recovery.

 

Peskov added that Putin has no plans to contact Trump after the assassination attempt on the former US president.

 

US presidential candidate Donald Trump was shot in Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon but survived.
