Trump was approved to participate in the presidential election
After the Colorado state court ruled that Donald Trump was ineligible to participate in the state's primary election due to his role in the attack on the Congress building by his supporters, the United States Supreme Court yesterday unanimously ruled in favor of Trump and his eligibility to participate in the It approved the 2024 presidential election in all states.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Previously, the Supreme Court of the state of Colorado ruled on December 19, 2023 that Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, cannot be in the primary voting due to his role in the attack of his supporters on the Congress building on January 6, 2021.

According to this ruling, which was approved with 4 votes in favor and 3 votes against, and according to the provisions of paragraph 3 of the 14th amendment to the US Constitution, Donald Trump's name could not be included in the ballot papers due to his role in the January 6, 2021 riot, and he cited To this law, it would lose the "authority to have federal responsibilities".

Despite this, yesterday the US Supreme Court voted unanimously in favor of Trump and confirmed his eligibility to participate in the 2024 presidential election in all states.

According to Trump's opponents, the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which was passed after the country's Civil War, does not allow people like him, who took an oath to defend the Constitution but took part in riots, to hold public office again.

This was the first time in the history of the United States that a court used Clause 3 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States to disqualify a presidential candidate.

Trump has argued that the amendment does not cover former presidents, and even if it does, he had no role in inciting the riots.

Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to bar states from disqualifying federal candidates under a constitutional provision that includes sedition and overturning Colorado's ban on him running.

Donald Trump said: I want to start (my remarks) by thanking the Supreme Court for its unanimous decision today. This was a very important decision; It was very well designed and I think this decision will go a long way towards bringing our country together, which is our country, and they worked for a long time. They worked hard and honestly, they worked very early on something that will be talked about 100 years from now and 200 years from now.

He said: "Basically, you can't eliminate someone from a race because the competitor likes it that way, and it doesn't matter if the candidate is leading, whether the candidate is leading or not, you can't eliminate someone from the race." do. Voters can kick someone out of the race pretty quickly, but the court shouldn't do that, and the Supreme Court saw that very well.
