The director of livestock of Herat Agriculture Department says that this year 679 tons of cow skins were exported from Herat province to Turkey.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Maulavi Mohammad Omar Ghased, head of livestock of Herat Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, says that in 1402 SH, he exported 35,685 cow hides to Turkey and 10,000 square meters of carpets to Dubai.
He also added that nearly 7,775 tons of konjara were imported from Turkey to Herat.
The head of livestock of the agriculture department also stated: In the last three months, they collected a tin of counterfeit honey, 3,870 liters of disinfectants and 137 kilos of rotten chicken meat from the city and set it on fire in the presence of the authorized committee.
Maulavi Ghased added that they are trying to solve the challenges of the farmers in Herat province as soon as possible.
