Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to a statement from the deputy prime minister’s office, during the meeting with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s special representative for Afghanistan, and its ambassador in Kabul, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, expressed condolences for the recent events in the neighboring country, where many people were killed or injured, emphasizing that ISIS, as a common enemy, intends to destabilize the region and target innocent people.
He went on to say that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has a clear strategy: to ensure that Afghanistan and Iran remain safe while also contributing to the region’s peace and stability.
Abdul Kabir expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support and collaboration with Afghanistan, noting that Afghanistan seeks to build and improve relations with Iran and all neighboring countries. By implementing economy-focused policies, the Islamic Emirate hopes to play a crucial part as a hub for economic stability and regional development.
Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s special representative in Afghanistan, stated that Iran does not support opponents of the Islamic Emirate and instead aspires to integrate Afghanistan into regional cooperation. Groups aiming to sow enmity between Iran and Afghanistan would fail, he added.
Qomi further stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy toward the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is based on strong cooperation. So far, Afghanistan and Iran have inked various cooperation agreements in areas such as trade, agriculture, electricity, and mining. Iran is also eager to collaborate in other investment and technology industries.
He asserted that Iran is working to establish cooperative regional transit to help regional countries build their economies and facilitate friendly commerce. Iran hopes that these prospects will allow Afghan commodities to have direct access to Turkish and European markets.
