Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The resolution proposed by Russia on the developments in Gaza was not voted on Wednesday night and was faced with the opposing vote of the United States and the United Kingdom.
This resolution was supported by Russia, China, the United Arab Emirates and Gabon, but the United States and England opposed it and 9 other members of the Security Council abstained.
The resolution proposed by Russia consisted of parts of the American and Brazilian resolutions. In its proposal, Russia called for an immediate ceasefire, the creation of humanitarian corridors and the release of all prisoners.
In this resolution, Russia also emphasized the cancellation of Israel's order to withdraw the residents of the northern Gaza Strip from this region.
Meanwhile, Russia and China vetoed the resolution proposed by the United States in the UN Security Council regarding the war between the Palestinian resistance and Israel.
UAE also voted against this proposed resolution and 10 members of the Security Council voted for it and 2 other members abstained.
In a statement, Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, praised the position of Russia and China in the Security Council and the veto of the US resolution in support of the Zionist occupation regime.
In its latest statistics, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the increase in the number of martyrs of the Gaza war to seven thousand and 165 people.
This ministry has also announced the number of injured in Gaza as 17,439.
