Japan completes the unfinished projects of “Tetsu Nakamura" in the country

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In this meeting, the ambassador of Japan in Kabul said that the completion of these projects will cost 9.5 million US dollars, which will be paid by the government of this country.
 
Takashi Okada said in this meeting: "As we all know, Mr. Nakamura dedicated his whole life to serving the people and bringing peace to this country. Now, Japan wants to complete the semi-finished Tetsu Nakamura irrigation projects in Afghanistan with the cooperation of the FAO International Organization at a cost of 9.5 million US dollars.
 
Meanwhile, the head of JICA administration says that with the completion of these projects, 12,000 tons will be directly and indirectly benefited and tens of hectares of land will be irrigated.
 
The most important unfinished project of Tetsu Nakamura is Noor Gul Canal in Kunar Province, which was left half-finished when he was killed.
 
Richard Trinchard, the representative of the international organization, said: "This project will have significant direct and indirect benefits for more than 12 thousand poor and needy people, including men, women and children, and will irrigate tens of hectares of land. Around this canal, 2,500 rows of productive and non-productive saplings will be planted, which will also strengthen the underground water."
 
According to Ariana News, the Noor Gul Canal project includes the reconstruction of water conveying buildings, water control buildings and social buildings, such as pedestrian bridges, laundry facilities, which are built with the special method of Japan Health Services in cooperation with the local people.
 
It should be mentioned that Tetsu Nakamura died on (Saturday 30 November 2019) as a result of an armed attack in Nangarhar province.
