This marks the occurrence of the second traffic accident within a week in the northern Afghan region. Just last week, on August 9th, a tragic incident occurred in the adjacent Kunduz province, specifically in Baghlan. As a result, one individual was killed, and 45 others were injured.
Poorly maintained roads, reckless driving practices and a notable absence of adequate safety measures on overcrowded highways are the primary contributing factors behind the country’s distressing frequency of road mishaps.
