AVA - 3 killed in Baghlan Traffic Accident

According to officials, at least three people were killed, and another was injured in an accident in the Baghlan province.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The deadly incident occurred in the Khawja Alwan district, just outside the provincial capital of Pul-e-Khumri; according to Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Burhani, the spokesperson for the provincial police, the accident took place due to reckless driving.

This marks the occurrence of the second traffic accident within a week in the northern Afghan region. Just last week, on August 9th, a tragic incident occurred in the adjacent Kunduz province, specifically in Baghlan. As a result, one individual was killed, and 45 others were injured.

Poorly maintained roads, reckless driving practices and a notable absence of adequate safety measures on overcrowded highways are the primary contributing factors behind the country’s distressing frequency of road mishaps.
