Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The meeting took place today, according to a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister’s office. Mr. Sharafat said that Afghanistan is linked to Iran and its northern neighbors by railways and that they are currently working on a new railway project.
He also said that the authority had generated 3.3 billion Afghanis in revenue last year and expected to reach 4 billion Afghanis this year.
He added that no former employees had been laid off and that more professionals had been hired. Mr. Sharafat presented some suggestions to the Deputy Prime Minister for improving the railway sector.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir appreciated the efforts of the authority and said that Afghanistan, as the hub of the region, had an important role as an economic bridge.
He stressed that the development and activation of railway lines were vital for Afghanistan’s transit and that it would receive special attention.
