Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, has gone to London for a five-day trip.
Sayed Tayeb Javad, the former ambassador of Afghanistan, said that Mr. Karzai met with Charles III, the King of England, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the special representative of the Prime Minister, and a number of Afghans in London.
The former ambassador of Afghanistan in London said that Mr. Karzai had meetings with a number of political figures and officials of the former government of Afghanistan.
The BBC quoted Mr. Javad as saying that the main focus of the talks between the former president of Afghanistan was "providing intra-Afghan talks between the Islamic Emirate and the groups opposed to the government".
Karzai is said to have left London last night. He had also traveled to Germany and Turkey two months ago.
