The support of international organizations to Iran for hosting Afghan immigrants is very little
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with the representatives of humanitarian organizations in Geneva, referring to Iran's hosting of millions of displaced people, immigrants and refugees from Afghanistan in the past four decades, said: the support of Iran for hosting Afghan immigrants from international organizations is very important.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to Iran Press News Agency, "Hussain Amir Abdullahian", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in the evening (Tuesday, 9 Pisces) met the heads and high officials of international humanitarian organizations based in Geneva, including the High Commissioner for Refugees, the Organization The International Committee of Migration, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs pointed out the political and social situation in Afghanistan, especially in the last year and a half, and stated that this situation has caused a record low increase in the wave of Afghan immigrants to Iran.

Amir Abdullahian stated that Iran has hosted millions of Afghan displaced persons, immigrants and refugees in the past four decades and added: However, unfortunately, international support has not been proportionate to the increase in costs imposed on Iran due to the arrival of Afghan immigrants in recent years. And very little help has been allocated to Iran in this matter.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also pointed to the unilateral US sanctions against the Iranian people and said: Unilateral sanctions have had a destructive effect on the motivation of financial sponsors to shoulder the burden of hosting Afghan nationals, therefore it is necessary for international organizations to prevent the effectiveness of international support. Take the necessary measures to prevent sanctions.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has hosted Afghan immigrants for more than forty years, and now at least 5 million of them live in Iran and benefit from the facilities available in the Islamic Republic of Iran like Iranian citizens.

The recent developments in Afghanistan also caused a new wave of Afghan nationals to go to Iran, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, despite the economic problems caused by sanctions and without international aid, did not create any obstacles for their entry and has been a worthy host for these immigrants.
