Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday (25 Scorpio) that he met William Burns, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
"We met and discussed all the issues that are important for Ukraine," Zelensky said at a televised press conference.
An American official in Washington also said: "William Burns, who is in the region to discuss the war in Ukraine, has traveled to Kiev to meet with Zelensky and the Ukrainian security service after a meeting in Ankara."
In other news, a senior American general said on Wednesday that Ukraine's chances for a "quick military victory" are not high.
He warned that Russia still has significant combat power in Ukraine, despite many defeats on the battlefield.
According to the Reuters news agency: General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Army, who spoke at a press conference in the Pentagon, called for "extra caution".
He said: "From a military point of view, the possibility of a military victory for Ukraine, that is, the expulsion of the Russians from all of Ukraine, including Crimea, is not high."
