Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced new visa restrictions and said the policy will apply to current and former IEA members, members of non-state security groups and others believed to be responsible or complicit in what he called the government’s repressive policies against women.
In a statement issued on Wednesday night, the IEA said the visa restrictions could affect bilateral relations.
According to the IEA, considering recent talks in Doha, the US should take positive steps and that Washington should reconsider the decision.
The IEA has rejected claims of suppressing women and says that the world should engage with the Islamic Emirate instead of putting pressure on them.
