Afghan peace council to consider Moscow talks declaration for implementation
Afghanistan's High Peace Council said on Thursday it will consider for implementation the declaration of two-day talks between the Afghan politicians and the Taliban representatives in Moscow.

This comes as the President Ashraf Ghani’s spokesman said that the meeting was a political and academic discussion, adding it had no executive outcome for peace.
HPC in a statement said that it will carefully study the declaration of the meeting and will consider points favouring national interests for implementation.
Referring to the issue of foreign troops presence, the statement said that the issue could be discussed in talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban, adding their exit could happen if the problem of terrorism is resolved and if there is progress in peace process.
In the Moscow meeting, participants agreed on implementation of necessary reforms, keeping and strengthening national institutions.
They also emphasized on a strong and inclusive central government, following Islamic principles in governance, national unity, social justice and Afghanistan impartiality in regional and global disputes.
They also called for trust-building measures, including the release of prisoners who are elderly or ill or have little of their term left and the removal of insurgents’ names form sanctions lists.
They also agreed on official opening of Taliban’s political office in Qatar capital Doha, where they expect to hold their next meeting.
