Afghanistan, U.S., Saudi Arabia, UAE hold quadrilateral meeting
National security advisers from Afghanistan, the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates held a quadrilateral meeting in U.S. on Saturday, an Afghan official statement said.
AVA- The sides reached agreement in different areas on counter-terrorism, peace process and economic development.
They expressed support for the Afghan peace process and emphasized on joint efforts for success of peace talks.
On counter-terrorism, they agreed to fight against foreign terror groups in Afghanistan and to jointly work against sources of funding terrorism.
The sides also agreed to expand economic relations.
The statement said that UAE would host an international conference on investment in Afghanistan for cooperation to make Afghanistan self-reliant in the area of economy.
The meeting also agreed to form a Technical Working Group for the initiatiation of a roadmap which includes follow up and cooperation for peace and reconciliation, counterterrorism, and trade and investment in Afghanistan.
