The Meteorological Department has issued an alarming warning of heavy rainfalls forecasted to cause potential hardships at risk of torrential rain in Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunar, Nuristan, Panjshir, and Baghlan.
More than 27,000 people in high-risk areas of Beijing have been evacuated, and another 20,000 were relocated from parts of neighboring province Hebei’s capital Shijiazhuang, state media said.
Torrential rain across northern India has killed at least 22 people, as well as causing landslides and flash floods in the region, authorities and local media said on Monday.
The death toll from flash floods caused by heavy snowfall and torrential rains in Afghanistan has climbed to 59, an official statement said on Tuesday.
