The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) provided life saving treatment to 273,000 children with severe acute malnutrition in Afghanistan this year.

Health officials of Baghlan have announced the increase in the number of malnourished children in this province. They say that in the first five months of this year, more than 4,000 children have suffered from malnutrition and 20 have died.
