The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has reported that a week after Hurricane Daniel hit northeastern Libya, at least 11,300 people have died in the coastal city of Derna, and 10,100 people are still missing.
The Libyan Red Crescent announced yesterday (Thursday) that the number of victims in the city of "Derna" has increased to 11,300 people after a huge flood caused by the breaking of two water dams caused by heavy rains.
Officials in Libya have announced that at least 2,000 people died as a result of the devastating floods in this country, and between 5,000 and 6,000 others are missing.
