Local officials in Herat province say that the country's anti-narcotics research and study director has traveled to Herat province at the head of a delegation.

The Ministry of Interior says that the anti-narcotics agents have cleared 75 acres of land in the provinces of Nangarhar, Kandahar and Laghman from poppy cultivation.
