The World Food Organization says that daily more than 40 trucks full of food items enter Afghanistan from Uzbekistan for the purpose of aid, where nearly 20 million people are facing hunger.

Officials said that, Around 29,000 less fortunate families in northern Takhan and Baghlan province have been distributed food items while 250 families distributed cash assistance in northwestern Faryab province.

Hundreds displaced families have received foodstuffs and cash in northern Takhar province yesterday.
