The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy says a major US aircraft carrier has left the strategic Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

Responding to a barrage of short-range ballistic missiles launched by North Korea on Sunday, South Korea and the United States said they fired eight surface-to-surface missiles early on Monday off South Korea’s east coast.
