Uzbekistan’s President cautioned at the United Nations General Assembly that abandoning Afghanistan to grapple with its challenges independently would constitute a severe error.
On April 1, humanitarian aid was sent to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to help prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
The railway, almost 650 km in length, which will connect Mazar-e-Sharif and Herat cities and will later be extended to Kabul, is a major project agreed to by President Ashraf Ghani and President Mirziyoyev.
India and Uzbekistan will jointly work together and strive for a stable, prosperous and peaceful Afghanistan, which will be beneficial for the interests of the region, said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
