At the same time as the World Climate Change Week, Abdul Salam Haqqani, Deputy Financial and Administrative Director of the National Environmental Protection Department of the Islamic Emirate, announced that the amount of rainfall has decreased by 37% compared to previous years in Afghanistan.

Officials of the "National Environmental Protection" Administration, stating that western countries should not associate the issue of environment with politics, add that Afghanistan's environmental projects, which are currently suspended by the international community, should start as soon as possible.
