In a major reshuffle of its top leadership, China removed defense minister Li Shangfu and ousted former foreign minister Qin Gang from its cabinet on Tuesday, state media said.

Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfur's visit to Russia and Belarus shows that Beijing, along with diplomacy to help solve the Ukraine crisis, is also seriously pursuing the policy of strengthening the power of the East against the West.
