Turkey has ratified the Transit and Transport Cooperation Agreement (Lapis Lazuli Route Agreement) signed on November 15, 2017 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, media reports citing Resmi Gazete.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan increased by 46 percent during the first quarter of 2019, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev said at a meeting with the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Azerbaijan Khairullah Spelenai, Azeri media reports referring to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
As per the statement of the presidential palace, President Ghani arrived in Herat this morning.
The president is set to inaugurate Lapis Lazuli route and meet with merchants, civil and military officials and locals.
The statement also added that once the route is open, Afghan products will be able to reach European markets in less than 2 weeks....
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoF) on Tuesday said Afghanistan is preparing to export the first shipment of products through the Lapis Lazuli Transit, Trade and Transport Route within the next two days.
