Financial Times reported on Tuesday that, India has told Canada to repatriate 41 diplomats by next Tuesday, October 10.

India has opted not to send an ambassador to its Embassy in Afghanistan but will keep it open. India’s Minister of External Affairs, announced.

India's top diplomat was reacting to a statement posted on Twitter earlier in the day by Bhutoo-Zardari about “weaponizing terrorism” in which he urged SCO member nations to avoid using “terrorism” as a diplomatic instrument.

It was legitimate that the international community, especially the neighbours, today work together to ensure that there is no terrorism threat that comes out of Afghanistan. Jaishankar said.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has asked the Afghan students to wait for a “level of trust and efficiency” to come up to allow visas to be restarted.

A media reported that, India will attend a meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on Afghanistan.

The United States welcomed India's engagement in regional and international efforts for lasting peace in war-torn Afghanistan, said US special envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad during talks with India’s  External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
