The secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement has denounced US economic sanctions against Iran, describing the punitive measures as “an act of aggression” against all world nations.

Turkey is looking for the U.S. to change its mind about Iran sanctions, Turkey’s foreign minister said on Saturday.

The United States has granted Iraq a 90-day extension to an exemption from sanctions re-imposed on neighboring Iran to keep importing electricity and natural gas and meet its energy needs.

Tensions have escalated between the US and European Union (EU) countries over their plan to preserve business with Iran and avoid renewed American sanctions.
