Officials in the Ministry of Public Health say that in the past year, two thousand people have died due to heart disease in the country, according to them, up to six thousand people suffer from heart disease in the country every year.
The head of the General Directorate of Afghan Red Crescent says that this organization has registered 26,481 children suffering from heart disease in the past 14 years, and almost half of them have been treated.
According to a statement released by the charity, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has referred 24 children with cardiac disorders to hospitals for treatment.
