Heavy rainfall that triggered avalanches and flash flood has inflicted property damages and rendered scores of people homeless in Badakhshan.

Four members of a family had been killed, one injured while two others went missing after avalanche hit a village in Afghanistan's central Daykundi province, provincial government spokesperson said Thursday.

Avalanches, flooding and harsh winter weather has claimed lives of more than 130 people across Pakistan and Afghanistan in recent days, local officials say. 

At least 67 people were killed and others were missing after avalanches in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir over the last 24 hours, senior government officials said on Tuesday.

Several avalanches have left paths of destruction in the Pakistani-controlled portion of the disputed territory.
