After Uzbekistan asked Qatar for help in the construction of the Trans-Afghan railway line, which connects Central Asia from Afghanistan to South Asia, the Qatari government has announced its readiness to help in the construction of this railway line.

Mullah Bakht al-Rahman Sharaft, the general director of the Islamic Emirate Railway Department, emphasized on the start of the practical work of the Afghan-Trans project as soon as possible in a tripartite meeting between the railway officials of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan in Islamabad.
