The Ministry of Science of Iran has announced that more than 40,000 Afghan students are studying in Iran and says that three single-sex universities in Iran have announced their readiness to accept Afghan female students.

The Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, stating that education is one of the basic rights of Afghan girls, added: Afghan girl applicants can use the facilities of higher education centers in the border cities of Iran to continue their studies.
