China unveiled a 12-point plan for peace between Russia and Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China today (Friday, February 24) unveiled its 12-point plan for peace in Ukraine, which includes a ceasefire and the end of Western sanctions against Russia.

On the eve of the anniversary of the war, the United Nations General Assembly held its 11th emergency meeting on the Moscow-Kiev war at the request of Ukraine and the West and voted a resolution about it.
 
This resolution was approved with 141 votes in favor, seven votes against and 32 abstentions. Iran, China and India were among the countries that abstained from this non-binding resolution.
 
According to the Associated Press, in this plan, China has emphasized the beginning of peace talks between Moscow and Kiev, a ceasefire, the end of Western sanctions against Russia, the adoption of measures to ensure the security of nuclear facilities, the creation of humanitarian crossings for the departure of civilians, and steps to ensure the export of grain. .
 
Also, China's peace plan emphasized Beijing's positions on effectively guaranteeing the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of all countries and called for an end to the Cold War mentality.
 
Beijing, which has always emphasized its neutrality towards the war in Ukraine and at the same time said that China's relations with Russia will not have any limits, has also criticized the sending of weapons to Ukraine and described it as fueling the fire of war.
