According to local security officials in southern Kandahar province, coordinated blasts rocked southern Kandahar city on Monday afternoon killing at least three people including a suicide bomber.
The officials further added the incident took place in the 3rd and 4th outskirts of southern Kandahar city in Haji Abdul Salam region.
Provincial security chief Gen. Abdul Razaq confirming the report said the incident took place after explosives packed inside a vehicle went off before reaching the target.
Gen. Abdul Razaq further added the vehicle was used by a suicide bomber along with two suspects and were killed following the explosion.
According to reports at least 2 Afghan kids were also injured during the explosion.
In the meantime an explosion took place near the provincial security commandment which was followed by a series of gunfire and clashes.
No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incidents.(AOP)
