The collapse of the boat pier in Georgia, USA left 27 dead and missing
The American media announced that at least 7 people died and 20 others are missing after a boat slip collapsed in the state of Georgia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: American media reported that at least 7 people were killed and at least 20 people drowned in the water following the collapse of a part of a boat ramp in the US state of Georgia. 
US Coast Guard vessels are currently searching for the missing persons.
According to officials, the incident, which also caused multiple injuries, took place during a celebration on Sapelo Island.
A boardwalk full of people waiting for a boat collapsed late Saturday afternoon on Georgia's barrier island, about 60 miles (100 kilometers) south of Savannah, said Tyler Jones, a spokesman for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, which is in charge of the boat.
Quoting from Mehr, Jones continued to add: "We and several other organizations are searching for survivors.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who is in Atlanta for campaign events, said in a statement that the Biden administration is in close contact with state and local officials and has provided any federal support needed.
