Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to the Ministry’s Press Office, on the second day of their official visit to Almaty, the Islamic Emirate’s delegation comprising government officials and private sector representatives, toured the Khorgos dry port, recognized as the world’s largest inland port and a vital trade hub within the region’s free trade zone.
The Khorgos dry port, strategically located at the China-Kazakhstan border, plays a pivotal role in the global Belt and Road Initiative, facilitating trade routes connecting China to Europe. This infrastructure is key to boosting regional connectivity and expanding trade opportunities.
The delegation’s visit comes as part of a broader mission aimed at promoting Afghanistan’s products in international markets, with the delegation also participating in trade exhibitions, official meetings with Kazakh officials, and business discussions.
Additionally, the delegation attended the Commercial Connectivity Conference, underscoring Afghanistan’s commitment to enhancing economic cooperation with neighboring and regional countries./Bakhtar News
