Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 31st agricultural and livestock products exhibition of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, which was held yesterday in Kabul; Mohammad Yunus Mohmand, the first deputy of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said in an interview with AVA about the importance of holding this exhibition: The Islamic Emirate wants to work on various sectors to improve the economic level of the country.
He stated that efforts are being made to grow the agriculture, industry, trade and transit sectors, and said: The purpose of holding agricultural product exhibitions is to strengthen this economic sector of the country.
The deputy of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment mentioned the work on the agriculture sector as one of the priorities of the caretaker government and added: by increasing the agricultural products, we will have important achievements in the export sector as well as meeting domestic needs.
He informed about the increase in the export of domestic products in the last three years and said: Tariffs have been increased for those imported items that we have in production to provide the basis for the use of domestic products in the country.
Mr. Mohmand called holding exhibitions useful for introducing domestic products to foreign markets and added: We hope that similar exhibitions will be opened in bigger places in the future.
On the other hand, Moulavi Misbahuddin Mustain, the head of public relations and spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, in a conversation with Ava reporter about the positive effects of holding agricultural exhibitions and its products, said: such exhibitions allow the sellers of domestic products to access the markets, export opportunities and sign agreements. According to him, with the presence of diplomats of foreign countries in exhibitions, they will transfer their findings to their countries and encourage investors from their countries on various sectors including agriculture in Afghanistan.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture, referring to security in the country, asked the citizens who are abroad to return to the country and work hard for the development of the country.
He also informed about the activation of the practical cooperations of the Development Monetary Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture in four sectors and said: Currently, financial cooperation is flowing to the owners of certain plans and small and large investors through the methods of Murabaha, Kakale, Mudaraba and Musharakah.

At the same time, the person in charge of creating cooperatives and unions of the Ministry of Agriculture says that the country's markets have been conquered by low-quality foreign dairy products and the use of domestic products has been limited.
He asked the government to order institutions to use domestic products in their food contracts.
This official of the Unions Department of the Ministry of Agriculture considered the use of domestic products to increase domestic revenues and provide employment opportunities and added: 20 to 25 tons of dairy products are lost daily in the country due to the lack of a sufficient market.
