Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Misbahuddin Mustain, the head of information and public awareness of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, in a conversation with AVA reporter, says that Maulvi Ataullah Omari, the head of this ministry, in the presence of Maulavi Chancellor Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture in Kabul with A delegation from the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran met and discussed.
According to Mustain, in this meeting, the officials of the two countries exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture and livestock.
He said that the Iranian delegation led by Mohammad Karmi, the governor of Sistan and Balochistan and with the presence of Alireza Marhamati, the political and security deputy of the governor, Daud Shahraki, the deputy of economic coordination, Mansour Bijar, the civil deputy of the governor, Mohammad Sargazi and Farhad Shahraki, the representatives of the Iranian Parliament and Gholamreza Najari, deputy of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, participated.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture says that Alireza Dehmardeh, the head of the Jihad Agricultural Organization, and the advisors of the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran were also present in this meeting.
Mr. Mustain adds that in this meeting, the parties emphasized the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock, export and import of food products, training of employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of Afghanistan and joint investments.
He said that in this meeting Maulavi Ataullah Omari while welcoming the Iranian delegation mentioned Iran's progress in agriculture and livestock sectors and expressed hope that Afghanistan can benefit from Iran's scientific and technical achievements and experiences.
He also emphasized the need to take practical steps in the future to realize these cooperations.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture also said that the purpose of the Iranian delegation's visit to Afghanistan was to strengthen mutual cooperation in various sectors of agriculture and livestock, provide scholarships for Afghan students and increase the export and import of products.
They also mentioned Iran's achievements in the fields of fish farming, agriculture, horticulture, creation of advanced laboratories and research farms and expressed their readiness to cooperate in these fields.
In the end, the Acting Minister of Agriculture appreciated Iran's previous cooperation and emphasized Afghanistan's readiness to expand cooperation in all fields.
