Israelis killed and wounded in resistance ambush / Israeli army casualties rise to 702 dead
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 702 with the death of another Israeli army officer.
The Israeli army has killed 36-year-old Major Shlomo Yehonatan in ground fighting in the center of the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported.
 
The Zionist soldier was a reservist from the occupied city of Ashdod and a member of the 9207th Brigade called Quds.
 
The death of the soldier brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa on October 7, 2023, to 702.
 
The Israeli military said on Monday that an Israeli officer was killed in an improvised explosive device explosion on a bus in the Bethlehem area.
 
According to the Israeli military, 338 soldiers were killed in the ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, which began on October 27, 2023.
 
As of October 2023, 4,387 Israeli soldiers have also been wounded, including 2,254 related to ground fighting in the Gaza Strip.
 
Meanwhile, the guards of al-Qassam announced that the fighters of the battalion laid a strong ambush for the Zionists in the east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and five Israeli soldiers were captured in the ambush.
