Herat reports a 46% increase in exports
Hamidullah Khadim, head of the Herat Chamber, said: More than 43 million dollars worth of goods have been sent abroad in the first three months of this year, which shows an increase of 46% compared to last year.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Meanwhile, Mohammad Yousuf Amin, Executive Director of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, highlighted that the exports include agricultural products, locally manufactured goods, and marble stones, reaching both domestic and international markets.

Notably, exports of Herat-produced carpets also saw growth, with 2,189 square meters sold for $44,260 to Dubai and Bulgaria.

Hamidullah Khadem further reported that Herat’s industrial town’s hosts 800 active companies. Key exports from the region include fiberglass products, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, pottery, textiles, paints, and decorative stones, which are consistently shipped both locally and internationally./Bakhtar News
