Chinese investor announces readiness to build solar plant in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that a Chinese investor has expressed his readiness to establish a solar plant in Afghanistan with an investment of about $40 million.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement that Maulvi Ahmadullah Zahid, the deputy minister of industry and commerce of the Islamic Emirate, met with Shia, a Chinese investor.
 
The Chinese investor said they wanted to set up a solar plant with an investment of about $40 million and create jobs for 1,000 people in Afghanistan.
 
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce said that the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is committed to full cooperation in attracting investments in the field of industry growth and development.
 
It is worth mentioning that with the security in Afghanistan, the interest of foreign investors to invest in the country has increased.
