Border Ministry announces completion of renovation of border signs with Iran
The Ministry of Borders, Ethnic Affairs and Tribes of the Islamic Emirate says the renovation of border signs with the Islamic Republic of Iran has been completed.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmad, deputy minister of the Ministry of Borders, Ethnic Affairs and Tribes, told TOLOnews that the Ministry of Borders, Ethnic Affairs and Tribes intends to share signs with other neighbors including Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China by the end of this year.
 
He said the Ministry of Ethnic and Tribal Borders is committed to reviewing, monitoring and updating border signs.
 
"The Ministry of Borders has worked hard in the past year, thank God, and the Iranian border, which is an official border, has been renewed and all its boundaries have been determined," said the deputy minister for jirga and tribal affairs.
 
The official of the Ministry of Borders, Ethnic Affairs and Tribes stresses that the work of renovating border signs with other countries continues.
 
"We are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities and activities as soon as we can," Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmad added. "We are moving forward with our process as quickly as possible, and I hope to mark all our official borders this year."
 
A number of political and military analysts say that the renovation of border signs is important to address border challenges.
 
They believe that the geographical landmarks that exist in the Ministry of Borders and are based on maps should be preserved and supported.
 
Afghanistan has six neighbors, including Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China.
